Milwaukie Business Relief Fund

OVERVIEW

To support Milwaukie small businesses that were impacted by the Governor’s executive orders and businesses that have negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the city created the Milwaukie Business Relief Fund. To date, the city has issued three rounds of Business Relief Fund grants totaling $252,257. Milwaukie City Council allocated $132,000 from the CET revenue for economic development, and the city received $120,257 from the State of Oregon COVID-19 Emergency Business Assistance Matching Fund issued by Business Oregon.

HES for Industry Professionals

Home industry professionals have a valuable roll to play in Milwaukie's Home Energy Score program

Real estate market and home industry professionals, including real estate listing agents and home energy assessors, can help homeowners better understand the need behind Milwaukie and Oregon Department of Energy's Home Energy Score programs and comply with the program requirements.

Displaying a HES Report and Score

The Home Energy Report and Score must be displayed on all listings and public advertisements of the home.

Displaying the Home Energy Score and Report is a two-step process. For homeowners working with real estate professionals or selling a home as 'for sale by owner', the requirements are the same. Follow the instructions below to learn more about displaying a Home Energy Score.

COVID-19 Downtown Residential Parking Permit

The city has launched a temporary program for those living in the downtown area of Milwaukie who need to park near their homes for extended periods of time because of illness, self-quarantine due to exposure, or the need to care for someone ill.

If you live downtown and meet this criteria, you may apply for and receive a temporary permit to park in the lot behind City Hall or the library parking lot. The permits are limited to 2-week increments, with a maximum of four weeks per vehicle, to make sure enough parking stalls are available to those most in need.

HES Exemptions

A homeowner can apply for an exemption to the home energy score program, if the sale of the home is due to a situation indicative of financial distress. For a home to be exempt, the homeowner must fill out an exemption application and receive confirmation of exemption from the city.

Transactions that MAY BE EXEMPT from the requirement include:
