Last month, Metro Council approved a more than $3.8 million grant to fund design and construction of the Monroe Street Greenway. This critical grant will help the city leverage $6.7 million in state and local funding, providing the final financing component needed to design and construct the 2.2 miles of greenway within city limits. 

Last week, City Council unanimously adopted a resolution endorsing the declaration of a climate emergency. This declaration reinforces Milwaukie’s commitment to climate action, and highlights the importance of city-led actions called for in the climate action plan.

The applicant is seeking relief from the fence height standards to allow a 6-ft fence in the front yard to be installed at the 15-ft setback, not at the front property line.

The Community and Conference Rooms are intended for use by community groups and organizations that aim to promote the educational, cultural, intellectual, social or civic betterment of the community.  These rooms are not available for private social or celebratory events.

Writing city hall’s next chapter.

The current Milwaukie City Hall has served our community since 1938. As the city plans to move to a newer building, the City Council appointed a City Hall Blue Ribbon Committee (CHBRC) to help decide how the current city hall site should be used in the future.

What is a Preapplication Conference?

Preapplication conferences are meetings held between City of Milwaukie staff and members of the public who are considering submitting a land use application to the city. Unless waived by the Planning Manager, preapplication conferences are required for all land use application types except for Type I (MMC 19.1002).
