Edison Street SAFE Project

Project Details

This project will construct a continuous curb-separated sidewalk on the north side of Edison Street. The sidewalk will connect to the existing sidewalk near Highway 224 to 35th Avenue.  Asphalt pavement reconstruction without roadway widening will occur from 35th Avenue to 37th Avenue. Stormwater biofiltration swales are proposed to meet treatment requirements for runoff from all impervious surfaces with this project.

McBrod Avenue Water System Improvements

Project Details

The city is improving pedestrian safety by building a sidewalk on the east side of McBrod Avenue, from 17th Avenue to Ochoco Street. The city will also address much-needed repairs and upgrades to the water and stormwater systems, as well as the roadway pavement condition.

2019 SSMP

Project Details

The project consists of approximately 11,200 cubic yards of pavement removal, the placement of 3,720 tons of base material, and the placement of 2,950 tons of asphalt on Omark Drive, Wake Street, and 39th Avenue.

The project also includes the construction of 128 lineal feet of sanitary sewer on Wake Street, the construction of approximately 110 square feet of concrete access improvement at the Roswell Storm Pond, and installation of two storm catch basins on Omark Drive.

Linwood Avenue SAFE Project

Project Details

Linwood Avenue has been identified as a route that requires improvements to meet the needs of pedestrians and bicyclists.  Shared pedestrian/bike paths will be completed from Harmony Road to Monroe Street, partially funded by the Safe Access For Everyone (SAFE) program. The city was awarded a grant from ODOT's Safe Routes To School (SRTS) program due to the proximity of Linwood Elementary School.
