The Budget Committee will meet on April 27 at 10 a.m. at city hall (10501 SE Main St.) for the biennium budget July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026. This is a public meeting to hear the city manager’s budget message and the proposed biennial budget document.

Public Hearing for Proposed Use of State Revenue Sharing Funds on April 27

A public hearing for the proposed use of the City of Milwaukie’s State Revenue Sharing Funds for the 2025-2026 biennium will be held during the Budget Committee meeting on April 27 at 10 a.m. or May 4 at 9 a.m., if needed.  The purpose of these meetings is to declare the city’s election to receive state revenue sharing funds to be used as General Fund revenues for General Fund operations.

The budget committee for the Milwaukie Redevelopment Commission will meet on May 4 at 9 a.m. at city hall (10501 SE Main St.) about the budget for the biennium (July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026). A meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Milwaukie, Clackamas County, State of Oregon, on the budget for the biennium July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026, will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall (10501 SE Main St.) on April 27, 2024 at 10 a.m. This is a public meeting to receive the city manager’s budget message, and the proposed biennial budget document will be presented to the Budget Committee.

Milwaukie Police Chief Ryan Burdick sworn into office

Milwaukie, OR - 

Chief Ryan Burdick gave the Chief's oath of office at the Milwaukie City Council meeting on April 9th. An internal and external recruitment process was ran in early 2024 and Chief Burdick was selected as the Milwaukie Police Department head.

Male deceased in auto vs. pedestrian crash

**Update 4/10 1:25 PM** 

The deceased male's family has been notified and is identified as Louis Daniel Rodrigues, 80 of Milwaukie. Mr. Rodrigues was crossing SE Mcloughlin Blvd. in an area with no marked or unmarked crossing and shortened driver visibility when this tragic event occurred. No criminal or traffic citations have been issued in this investigation.
