42nd/43rd Ave Improvements Celebration

The city invites you to celebrate the completion of the 42nd Ave/43rd Ave Improvements project!

Come out and meet your fellow neighbors, city employees, the contractor Tapani’s crew members, and the Century West design team. The event will include food, drinks, and music by Roadside Attraction.

Tiel Aisha Ansari Poetry Reading

The 16th season of the Milwaukie Poetry Series continues on November 9 at 6pm with a live reading at the library by poet Tiel Aisha Ansari. Seating limited to 50. 

Spring Open Mic

The Milwaukie Poetry Series and the Ledding Library are celebrating National Poetry Month by sponsoring a Spring Reading and Open Mic on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 6:00-7:30 PM. Our Featured Readers will be Carolyn Martin, John Morrison and Scot Siegel.

They will read for approximately 40 minutes. This will be followed by an Open Mic.

Candidates Forum

The Linwood Neighborhood District Association (NDA) invites the community to a 2022 Candidates Forum. The forum will include candidates running for Mayor and City Council positions 1, 2, and 4. To learn more about the next City Council election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 visit www.milwaukieoregon.gov/elections

Library Opens at 10:30

Due to a staff meeting, the library will open late on October 12 at 10:30am.

Milwaukie 2022 Arbor Day Celebration

Join us for Arbor Day on Saturday, Oct. 22 for a variety of fun events to celebrate Milwaukie's urban trees and greenspaces!

Trees make our community more livable by shading hot streets, cooling streets and homes, stabilizing soils, cleaning air and water, increasing property values, playing important cultural and historical roles, and contributing to the look and feel of the city. 

Portland Waldorf School Harvest Fest

Bring your friends and family and join the Portland Waldorf School for this 40th Anniversary celebration of the changing of the season. Enjoy activities and entertainment as the community gathers in gratitude.
