Charles Goodrich Poetry Reading

The 16th season of the Milwaukie Poetry Series continues on October 12 at 6pm with a live reading at the library by poet Charles Goodrich. Seating limited to 50.

South Downtown Mural Dedication

Help welcome Milwaukie's newest public mural, created by Kanani Miyamoto, with a dedication event featuring the official mural unveiling, some brief remarks by those involved with the project and refreshments! Everyone is welcome to attend.

The city's public mural program is funded by City Council and managed by the Milwaukie Arts Committee.

Washington Street Project Pop-Up Event

The city is hosting an outdoor pop-up event to share information about the upcoming Washington Street improvement project. The project team will provide project information and answer questions, and attendees can share their thoughts about the project.

Wendy Willis Poetry Reading

Read to the Dog

Watch your child’s confidence grow as they read their favorite books to a therapy dog. Join Dove Lewis’ Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams for a 15-minute session.

A Conversation with Kate Birdsall

A conversation with Kate Birdsall live at the library. Seating limited to 50.

Kate is the author of the memoir In Between and stars in the 2022 film Strictly for the Birds. The film is based on Kate’s memoir about her claiming her identity, finding love, and transitioning at age 65.
