In partnership with the Iraqi Society of Oregon and Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here! the Milwaukie Poetry Committee and the Ledding Library are hosting a bilingual poetry reading in Arabic and English.

Quarterly Book Sale

The Friends of Ledding Library will be hosting their Quarterly Book Sale on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm in the Library Community Room. There will be a great selection of books for holiday gifts along with book bags, shirts and socks. And you won't want to miss $10 a bag day on Sunday - hope to see you there!

Famous Thanksgiving Dinner

Celebrate the holiday with family and friends while enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. Proceeds from this event support Meals on Wheels. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children. Two seating times are available - 3-4:30 p.m. or 4:30-6 p.m. Tickets are available at the Milwaukie Community Center's gift shop. Reservations are required and the deadline to purchase tickets is Nov. 14

Saturday Storytime

Join us for storytime and family fun at the library! No registration required, but capacity is limited to the first 50 attendees. 

December 3: Spanish story and play time with the Portland Early Learning Project. Hora de cuentos en Español.

Parks Community Forum

Attend a special presentation about the current state of Milwaukie's parks and the future plan for some of the community's most treasured spaces. This forum will also feature a question and answer portion.

The presentation is facilitated by Ann Ober, city manager, and speakers include Peter Passarelli, public works director, and members of City Council. Light refreshments are provided.
