How to Get a Library Card
ESPAÑOL
New to the area? Are your kids ready for their own library cards? Haven't been to the library in a few years? Here's how to get a card:
- Any residents of Clackamas County (except for Johnson City), Multnomah County, Washington County, Hoodland and Ft. Vancouver are eligible for a Clackamas County library card.
- Come into any library in Clackamas County to obtain a card.
- Photo ID, such as official identification from government, school or other sources, is required. Proof of residence may be needed if not on official ID check with staff for eligible documentation.
- Children need a parent or guardian's signature.
Once you get your card, you can check out up to 80 items at a time and have up to 40 items on hold. Your card also gives you access to the library's databases and cultural passes.
eCard Registration:
Sign up here.
An eCard grants immediate access to online resources, including eBooks and eAudiobooks. You may also place up to three physical items on hold, but must upgrade to a full library card to check them out. eCards are available to all residents of the LINCC Library District (Clackamas County, Oregon), age 13 and up.
Note: if you already have a regular LINCC library card, you already have access to these services and do not need an eCard.
Oregon Library Passport Program:
As a library card holder of the Ledding Library of Milwaukie you are allowed to get library card at many other libraries within Oregon. Oregon libraries recognize that patrons live, work, play and shop throughout the state and may want or need library access in a town outside of the residence.
In order to participate, patrons are required to have a Home Library card first. This becomes his or her “Passport” to other Participating Libraries. Patrons present their Home Library cards at each Participating Library in order to register for cards at those libraries. A full list of participating libraries is available at https://librariesoforegon.org/passport.
