At the Ledding Library we have a wide range of services and programs for adults and a large collection of materials selected specifically for the adult patrons of Milwaukie.

The adult collection includes standard and large print fiction and non-fiction books, fiction and non-fiction audiobooks, movies on DVD and Blu-ray including box office hits, foreign films, documentaries and TV shows, music CDs, Russian and Spanish collections and over 140 magazine titles covering topics such as travel, women and men’s health, gardening, pop culture, technology and more.

If we don’t have it on the shelf we will request it from another Clackamas County Library or possibly from another library in the United States through Interlibrary Loan.

Services and Programs:

Adult Online Learning & Boredom Busters - Online learning and hobbies, cooking, reading, fitness and other fun activities for adults.

Book Clubs – The groups meet each month or every-other-month in the meeting room to discuss a book. The groups read all genres fiction and non-fiction.

Exam Proctoring – Proctored exams are available by appointment only. Call 503.786-7580 (option 3), or email ledding@milwaukieoregon.gov, for availability and scheduling. Exams conducted within sight of the Reference Desk, but the proctoring librarian will be assisting other patrons as needed. If a school/institution requires a proctor to sit with and monitor the student throughout an examination, the library will be unable to proctor that exam. While the library is a reasonably quiet place, students should be mindful that it is a public building.

Ledding Cultural Forum – The Ledding Cultural Forum, celebrates culture with public talks by local or regional artists, media producers, musicians, writers and other makers of culture. We expect to resume the music series in the future.

Library2Go & Libby  - Access the Library's ebooks and eAudiobooks without leaving your house! Need Help? Stop by the reference desk with your device or call 503.786.7546.

Poetry Series – This poetry reading series runs September through June on the Second Wednesday of each month. In addition to readings, there are open mics and poetry writing workshops.

Summer Reading Program – Each summer adults have the opportunity to win weekly prizes for the books they read.
