Alerts & Updates

Update (11.12.2020): The contractor is currently working on tree planting, final signage and striping. The project is anticipated to wrap up by the end of November.

Update (10/20/2020): Roadway paving will be completed Oct. 20. Temporary road closures are necessary to complete paving efficiently. Please see the attached map for more information.

Update (9/18/2020): Curb, sidewalk, and utility installation is complete. Final roadway work was delayed by hazardous air quality. Roadway reconstruction and paving will occur this fall as soon as air quality and weather allows.

Update (05.04.2020): Oregon Pacific Railroad will be replacing the rail crossing at McBrod Avenue starting May 11. Work is expected to take 1-2 weeks. During this time, McBrod Avenue will be closed at the rail crossing. Access driveways and loading bays will be maintained.

Update (4/13/2020):  Interlaken, Inc., the project contractor,  is working on installation of a new water main. A small area of McBrod Avenue will be temporarily closed just south of Milport Road for the water main installation across Milport Road.

  • North and southbound local traffic on McBrod Avenue will be maintained south of the closure, between Milport Road and 17th Avenue. Northbound general traffic will be maintained between Milport Road and Ochoco Street.
  • East and westbound traffic on Milport Road will be maintained through flagging.

Businesses on McBrod Avenue receive bimonthly construction email updates. To receive construction email updates, send your contact information to britellb@milwaukieoregon.gov.

Update (3/18/2020): McBrod Avenue will be open to northbound traffic only during construction.
