Per Milwaukie Municipal Code (MMC) Subsection 19.502.2.B, fences that are located in the front yard on residentially zoned properties may be a maximum height of 42 inches. The applicant is requesting a variance from this standard to establish a wooden fence in the front yard that is 72 inches tall.

What can I expect with the application process and beyond?

In February 2023, City Council passed ordinance 2225, which prohibits the sale, possession and use of fireworks in Milwaukie city limits. The maximum possible fine for a fireworks violation is $1,000.

After a competitive selection process, the City of Milwaukie selected Emma Sagor as the new assistant city manager.
