Multi-Project Open House: Hwy 224, Monroe Street Greenway, TSP Update & Kellogg Creek

Drop-in at any time to learn more and ask questions about the following four projects, while enjoying some refreshments. Children's activities will also be available.
- Oregon Department of Transportation's (ODOT) OR 224: SE 17th Ave. to SE Rusk Rd.
- ODOT is designing a project to improve safety through the design and construction of compliant ADA ramps, pavement and bridge preservation on this 3-mile stretch of OR 224 (Milwaukie Expressway).
- Key elements and benefits (See mailer below for project map.):
- Safety improvements such as curb ramps, push buttons, bike detectors and intersection changes at Monroe Street will increase safety and accessibility for pedestrians and people biking.
- Updated signs, striping and guardrails will improve safety and increase visibility.
- New pavement will be smoother and extend the highway's lifespan.
- Schedule - Project design continues through Fall 2024. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025.

- Open House will be held in the Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, which is accessible by elevator.

- Those who drive can park at City Hall or across Main St. from City Hall in the public parking lot.
