WSMP Project Proposals
After NDAs complete Walk Safely Reports, they use feedback from the PSAC and staff to develop final project proposals. Proposals can be short concise descriptions of your project concepts. Please do not exceed 2 pages (or one page, double-sided). The deadline for final infrastructural project proposals is April 15.
The deadline for education and awareness projects is rolling. Annually, funding is reserved to support one, $500 education and awareness project per neighborhood. Review of such proposals by staff shall be only to verify eligibility of the activity in terms of program goals. Please contact your NDA or the City to discuss your project idea.
Staff and PSAC review and prioritize projects based on cost, geographic equity, an objective scoring criteria outlined in the program document, and cost effectiveness. The PSAC is responsible for developing the final funding recommendations for City Council approval.
If you have any questions or comments about this process, please contact the Community Development Department at (503) 786-7600.
