Milwaukie Leadership Academy - Introductions and Form of Government

The Milwaukie Leadership Academy is a monthly class hosted by the city to give community members an an opportunity to learn more about how the city functions. 

Drop-ins are encouraged, so if you can only make it to one or two classes, please do.

Umbrella Parade & Tree Lighting

Join the Milwaukie holiday tradition of decorating umbrellas and parading through downtown ending with the lighting of the tree on Sat., Dec. 7, 2024. If you don't know what this event is all about, check out the photos below from the 2023 parade. You can also watch a video on YouTube of the 2018 event or a time lapse video of the 2019 event!

The Haunted Forest at Homewood Park

The Hector Campbell Neighborhood District Association (NDA) invites you to make the trail through Homewood Park a part of your trick-or-treat route. 

Route starts at the west end of the trail off of SE Garret Dr. near the parking lot of the Eagles Wings Ministries. Photo opportunities and popcorn await at the end of the trail near the play structure. 

 

Vietnam Veterans Remembrance Event

Join American Legion Post 180, the Susannah Lee Barlow Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the City of Milwaukie in commemorating Veterans Day on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Scott Park, 10660 SE 21st Ave.

A short ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. Free carnations are available for the community to place around the Vietnam Veterans monument during the event.

Doug Stone's poetry reading will be livestreamed on February 9, 2022 on the Ledding Library YouTube Channel.
