Milwaukie Fest Day Two is the biggest festival day of the year! 

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the city will close down four blocks of Main Street from Jackson south to the post office.

Milwaukie Fest Day One

Join the City and the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District to kick off Milwaukie Fest with a movie in the park. 

The evening will feature live music, food, crafts, and a screening of Minions 4

Friends Sunday Book Sales

The Friends of the Ledding Library hold Sunday Book Sales every Sunday in the Library Community Room, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. These sales start in May and run through the end of October.

Come browse hundreds of books, CDs, DVDS, jigsaw puzzles and book themed merchandise.

Tour of Kellogg Creek Restoration Project

Join the North Clackamas Watersheds Council (NCWC) for a tour of the Kellogg Creek Restoration & Community Enhancement Project! This walk will start out at Milwaukie Bay Park, where participants will be able to check out Kellogg Dam, and then follow the Trolley Trail to an overlook of the Kellogg Impoundment.

Lotería

Celebrate Día (Children's Day/Book Day) with the game of ¡Lotería! Originally from México, Lotería is similar to Bingo but uses pictures instead of numbers. Learn the meaning of popular Spanish words while competing for fun prizes. All ages. 

Sábado, 12 de abril de 2 - 3 p.m.: ¡Celebra el día de los niños/día de los libros!  Reúne a su familia para jugar ¡Lotería! Originario de México, Lotería es similar al Bingo, pero utiliza imágenes en lugar de números. ¡Aprende el significado de las palabras populares en español, todo mientras compites por divertidos premios! 

Earth Day Craft

Drop in to decorate your own bee, butterfly or hummingbird wings on a no-school day. Be sure to show them off at Earth Dayon April 26 in downtown Milwaukie!  All ages. 

Worm Bin Magic

Worms love food waste, so feed them yours and keep it out of the trash! Join us to make worm bins that magically create rich soil in a small space. Investigate worms and other cool critters they live with, too! Led by Rick Reynolds, educator, science guy, and local author. All ages. 

 

Note: If you have used plastic bins of any size, such as 10-18 gallon colored Rubbermaid totes that you don't need any more, please bring them to the event! We can drill holes in them so you and other families can start your own happy worm bin right away.  

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Bring your stuffed animal to storytime, then leave them at the library overnight for a sleepover. Animal friends & photos of their adventures will be available for pickup on Sunday, April 6. All ages.

No registration required, but capacity limited to the first 50 attendees.

Drug Take-Back & Document Shredding

The Milwaukie Police Department (MPD) is hosting a prescription drug drop-off event in partnership with the DEA. MiPD is collecting any unused or expired prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Building. Enter the Public Safety Building parking lot from Railroad Ave. and exit onto Harrison St.

Please have prescriptions collected in a bag or small box to hand off to a volunteer.

Art Show: Meet the Artists

The community is invited to meet the three local artists, who currently have their work on display in the library community room, during a drop-in reception. Ben Dewey, Hamid Shibata Bennett and Sarah Love McCoy are members of the Milwaukie Arts Committee. Each artist has their own unique style, and they're enthusiastic to talk about the work or answer questions. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments are provided.
