General Event

Braver Angeles is a national movement staffed by volunteers at the local level.  The driving mission of this movement is to bring people together to bridge the partisan divide while strengthening our democratic republic. It envisions an America with respectful embrace of political disagreements, where civic friendship flourishes, and competing perspectives strengthen us.

The library is open with reduced hours (1 - 7 PM), so library staff can attend team meetings.

Tune up your heart, mind, and soul with Sing Portland director Carole Marie Downing. All songs taught by ear in a call and echo style. Beginning singers and all ages welcome.

Need a place to prep for finals? Come to the library! The Community Room will be open for teens in grades 6-12 to study in a group or alone, with snacks provided by the library. 

City Manager, Emma Sagor, hosts an open door session for community members to ask questions, raise concerns or just find out more about what the city is doing. No sign-up is necessary, those attending the open door session are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions are limited to 15 minutes or less to help accommodate as many sessions as possible.

Sing, dance & learn some basic sign language with Shira Fogel of Tiny Talkers. Ages 2 - 5.
