Alerts & Updates

Update (6.22.2023):
The city’s contractor, McDonald Excavating, Inc., is paving on Friday, June 23. Work will start on Kent Street, move to Washington Street and finish on 37th Avenue. This work will close street parking within the work zone while construction is active. Those who live within the project area are recommended to park their vehicle(s) outside the project area because driveways and the street may be blocked for a few hours as the trench is paved and cools.

Update (5.17.2023):
Construction on Washington Street is running smoothly. Work will move to SE 37th Avenue next week. Expect road closures on 37th Avenue from the King Road intersection to Harvey Street from May 22 to June 1. Look to the signs and flaggers for directions getting through this area.

Update (5.8.2023):
Construction at the Milwaukie Station Food Cart Pod is almost complete. We will start construction on Washington Street, May 15, and plan to move to 37th Street after. Expect road closures on Washington Street from the 37th Avenue intersection to 40th Avenue from May 15th to May 26th. Look to the signs and flaggers for directions getting through this area.

Update (4.5.2023):

Evening construction is coming! Starting Monday, April 10 at the Food Carts for 1 to 2 weeks, we will be working at the Milwaukie Station Food Cart Pod. Look for the notice and the project schedule in the download section below.

Update (3.23.2023):

This project has been designed in-house and construction has gone out to bid. The lowest bidder was McDonald Excavating, Inc.! Construction will be active at each location at different times. More precise scheduling is expected in the coming weeks. Please direct all questions to the project manager at the top of the page.
