Proposal: Applicant is applying for a minor modification to a previously approved childcare community service use at 2992 SE Monroe St. The applicant has purchased the property and has applied to make interior and exterior modification to the building and site. The applicant is also applying for a variance to the fence height limitation in Milwaukie Municipal Code 19.502.2.B, which limits fence height to 6 ft in residential zones; the application has applied to construct a new 8 ft tall fence in the side and rear yards of the Monroe Street property.

The City proposes to adopt revisions to its existing natural resources regulations, which are established in Milwaukie Municipal Code (MMC) Section 19.402. The proposed amendments include changes that will provide a clear and objective review path for limited disturbance of water quality resources for housing development, integrate the residential tree protections of MMC Chapter 16.32 (Tree Code), simplify the process for verifying habitat conservation areas, and generally improve the functioning and effectiveness of the existing regulations.

Stolen vehicle and trailer recovered, police car rammed.

Milwaukie Or – On 3/11/25 at approximately 8:40 PM, Officers were called to the Milwaukie Market Place near the 10900 block of SE Oak St. on report of a stolen vehicle in the area. Milwaukie Police had been alerted by a vehicle security service who provided the location via a tracking device.
