City Hall Scarecrow Contest

The Milwaukie Arts Committee invites the community to create scarecrows that will go on display near the historic city hall building! Winners of the design contest, which are selected from three categories, receive gift cards to local businesses!  

Scarecrow Contest Categories:

  • Traditional or contemporary
  • Character
  • Group/Organization 

Registration for the 2024 Scarecrow Contest is closed. Please come see the contestants on display at historic city hall, 10722 SE Main St, during the month of October.

As partners in the Portland - Milwaukie Light Rail Project, TriMet officials gave Milwaukie staff members a special tour of the Tilikum Crossing on Sept. 9, 2014.

Mayor cutting ribbon at Wine: 30 Parklet

 To celebrate the completion of the first project under the City’s Parklet Pilot Program - an initiative that swaps out a couple parking spaces for temporary patios built for outdoor seating - Mayor Jeremy Feruson will cut the ribbon of the Wine: 30 parklet, located at 10835 SE Main St. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2104, at 6 p.m.

Concept plans for four Milwaukie Neighborhood parks developed with community input

North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District (NCPRD) and the City of Milwaukie are partnering to plan and develop the parks, which are currently known as Balfour, Bowman-Brae, Robert Kronberg  and Wichita parks. While funding to build the parks is not currently available, community input will help shape the concepts for the future parks.
