Submit a Council Agenda Item

All submitted Agenda Item Request forms are sent to the Office of the City Recorder (OCR) mailbox (ocr@milwaukieoregon.gov).

Please note the following deadlines for submitting agenda topic documents for Council consideration:

  • Legal Review: 18 calendar days prior to the meeting - Ordinances, contracts, agreements, or any legally binding document must be submitted to the City Attorney's office for review.
  • City Manager's Review: 13 calendar days prior to the meeting - by 3:30 p.m. all draft Agenda Item Summaries, Staff Reports, and attachments must be completed and submitted to the Office of the City Manager for review.
  • Final Materials to OCR: 8 calendar days prior to the meeting - all final and reviewed documents are due to the OCR.
  • Materials are Published: 7 calendar days prior to the meeting - the OCR publishes the final documents in a Session Packet.

The City Council meets in three types of regularly scheduled meeting sessions:

  • Work Sessions are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 5:00 p.m. in the Conference Room at City Hall.
  • Regular Sessions are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
  • Study Sessions are held the 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. in the Conference Room at City Hall.

In addition, the City Council may meet in Special Session or Executive Session, which are called on an as-needed basis.
