Water Division

The water division maintains all the components comprising the city's water infrastructure, valued at more than $16.5 million. These components include 100 miles of water main, 964 fire hydrants, 6,911 water services, seven well houses, three storage reservoirs and four pump stations. The division also helps develop projects and oversees the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the water infrastructure.

The division's mission is to maintain the system in a sustainable manner at the lowest cost to the rate payer, provide customers with water that meets or exceeds all federal and state water quality requirements and to continue an aggressive education program for city water utility employees to keep up with changing technology, rules and regulations.
