9K for K9 Fundraiser Walk
Date
This year's walk features a 3-kilometer route through downtown Milwaukie, taking in the delights of the Kronberg Multi-Use Trail and Park, Main Street, the Milwaukie Station food cart pod, coffee shops, restaurants and more! It's not a race, but a pleasant stroll that encourages taking stops along the way. Walks begin at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Participants are welcome to walk all or as few circuits as they wish, with the K9 companion(s) or by themselves. A raffle is held at the conclusion of the event.
This event is coordinated by the Milwaukie Public Safety Foundation and directly supports the Milwaukie Police Department's K9 program. Pre-registration is $25, and includes a free t-shirt, or $30 the day of the event. Teams of up to five people can register for $100, and includes a free t-shirt.
The walk is guided by Milwaukie's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) who will provide water along the route. Refreshments will also be offered at the start and finish, with restrooms provided by Celebrate Milwaukie, Inc.
