Milwaukie Recognized as a Tree City USA, Receives Growth Award

The city was once again recognized as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. To receive annual Tree City recognition, communities must meet four overarching standards: maintain a tree board or department, have a community tree ordinance, spend at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrate Arbor Day. Milwaukie has been a Tree City USA for the past five years. To learn more about the Tree City USA program, visit www.arborday.org/programs/treecityusa.
