The Milwaukie Museum in partnership with the Ledding Library, Willamette Falls Studio and City of Milwaukie, present Women's History Project: A Personal Perspective, the second Ledding Library Lecture Series event of 2022, on Wednesday, March 2 at 6 p.m.
Emilia Gonzalez-Clements, a trained anthropologist, will discuss the Women’s History Project and its findings. Personal stories from former mayor and state representative Carolyn Tomei, lifelong Milwaukie resident of Milwaukie and former Ledding Library employee Nancy Wittig, social justice and sustainability champion Elizabeth Start, and matriarch to both Minthorn Church and Milwaukie Museum Enid Briggs will also be shared. In addition, the event will feature special remarks by City Councilor Kathy Hyzy.
