Map Services

Milwaukie’s Map Services manages the city’s Geographic Information System, while providing mapping and data analysis. This service also manages regional data coordination for city departments and special projects, as well as other area government entities. At its core, Milwaukie Mapping Services provides tools to help answer geographical questions and solve problems using visual mapping techniques.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are comprised of computer software, hardware, and data, along with staff who collect data, analyze, report, and make decisions based on the spatial relationships of the data. The city’s GIS data methods used for data collection has improved over time with accuracy and technology. The information can be accessed on a PC, tablet or smart phone. Data can also be requested through Milwaukie Map Services at GISHelp@milwaukieoregon.gov.
