Programs

The City of Milwaukie utilizes its programs to increase the comfort, safety, and livability for its citizens.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan

City Council adopted the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan for Accessibility in the Public Right-of-Way in 2018. The plan outlines the city's plans to create accessible routes throughout the city for citizens of all mobility types to reach critical facilities such as: schools, hospitals, government buildings, and shopping areas.

The Street Surface Maintenance Program (SSMP)

City Council adopted the Street Surface Maintenance Program (SSMP) in 2006, and the program officially began in 2007. The SSMP is utilized to improve and maintain our city's roadways. A fee was established to fund the program and can be found on the water bill for each property.
