SMART Reader, Site Coordinator, or Site Team Member

Start Making a Reader Today at a school near you!

Be a SMART Reader (Refer to the Reader Position Description Below): Read one-on-one with two different children for 30 minutes each (1 hour total) during the school year. We accept applications year-round.

Be a SMART Site Coordinator: Coordinate a program at a SMART school. Schedule and provide program oversight during reading sessions.

Be a SMART Site Team Member: Lend a hand to Site Coordinators on- and off- site. Opportunities include helping with data entry, setting up the SMART space, contacting volunteer Readers, decorating bulletin boards, and overseeing a reading session.

SMART Programs in the North Clackamas School District include: Ardenwald Elementary, Candy Lane Elementary, Children's Commission Head Start, Clackamas Community College, El Puente Elementary (Spanish immersion school), Gladstone Center, Holcomb Elementary, Jennings Lodge Elementary, Milwaukie Elementary, Oak Grove Elementary, John Wetten Elementary, and Oregon City View Manor Head Start.
