Councilor Rebecca Stavenjord was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She grew up in Alaska and has been a resident of Oregon since 2000. She originally moved to Milwaukie in the early 2000s as a renter in the Linwood neighborhood and returned to purchase a home with her family in the Lewelling neighborhood.

Prior to joining City Council, Rebecca was chair of the Lewelling Neighborhood District Association, a volunteer with local Milwaukie schools, and a Girl Scout troop leader. She works in the public sector with a career spanning more than two decades in local government across Clackamas and Multnomah counties. Rebecca has a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning which she has focused on regional community development and building equity within systems of service delivery.

In her free time, Rebecca and her family operate the Three Stinky Goats Urban Farm in North Milwaukie which offers naturescape and permaculture education and community building events for local residents. She also enjoys throwing axes, making art, collecting vinyl records, cheering for the Rose City Rollers Junior Derby, and playing ice hockey

Councilor Stavenjord was first elected to Council Position No. 4 at the November 8, 2022, general election.  She had previously served as the chair of the Lewelling Neighborhood District Association (NDA) and currently serves as a member of the Housing Advisory Board of Clackamas County.
