Porchfest

The Milwaukie Arts Committee is hosting another year of Porchfest! On Friday, July 12, 19, and 26, the community is invited to create music from their own homes, or walk/bike around Milwaukie neighborhoods to enjoy the sights and sounds! Singers, dancers, bagpipers, guitar players, etc. are all encouraged to fill Milwaukie with performance art!

Red Yarn

Kids and their families are invited to join us for a delightful 45-minute folk concert with Andy Ferguson, aka “Red Yarn,” and his puppet critters. With traditional and original songs that blend folk, rock’n’roll, country and blues, Red Yarn’s sound is both rooted and modern. His energetic performances will have you singing, dancing, making new friends and experiencing the joy of community at this inclusive family event.

Event is from 5 to 7 p.m. The music begins at 6 p.m. 

Clancy Newman & Stewart Goodyear - Chamber Music NW Summer Festival

Spend a summer evening outdoors enjoying chamber music in the park, with a special performance by cellist Clancy Newman and pianist Stewart Goodyear. The musicians will perform a variety of music (both new and well loved) sure to entertain the entire family! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy food by Hearth and Soul Pizza.

Event is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The music begins at 7 p.m.

Concert at Milwaukie Bay Park - Petty Fever

Enjoy waterfront views while dancing to your favorite Tom Petty hits. Petty Fever, a multi-award winning, full-production tribute band will take the stage and transport you back in time with a supremely authentic Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers concert experience. An amazing variety of food trucks and brew vendors will be onsite.

Event is from 5 to 8 p.m. The music begins at 6 p.m.

Waverly Heights Sewer Rehabilitation Project Open House

Community members are invited to attend an open house to learn about the Waverly Heights Sewer Rehabiliation Project. No formal presentation will be given. Just stop by to meet the project team, ask questions, and share feedback. Stay as long or as little as you would like. Refreshments provided.

Linwood Neighborhood Yard Sale

The Linwood Neighborhood District Association (NDA) is coordinating a neighborhood wide yard sale and anyone in Linwood can participate! If you aren't sure if you are located in Linwood, you can refer to a map of Linwood

Oregon Ballet Theatre 2

Join this special afternoon of classic and contemporary dance with something for the whole family! Enjoy classical works from Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and La Bayadère. This year’s performance will also feature original choreography from OBT’s Artistic Director, Dani Rowe, and OBT2 Director, Dominic Walsh. Meet the ballerinas and have your photo taken after the show!

Show starts at 5 p.m., doors open at 4:30 p.m.
$5 recommended donation; proceeds go toward Milwaukie Community Center programs and OBT2.

Teen Game Night

Get your game on! We will open the new Teen Room Xbox X and PS5 consoles to teen gamers from 5:30 -7:30 pm. Teens can play games already downloaded to the consoles and any games available for checkout. Personal games are not allowed.

This event is limited to teens, grades 6 – 12, with a LINCC library card.

First Friday

The downtown Milwaukie community comes together every First Friday for the city's largest block party from June through October from 5 – 8 p.m. The first First Friday of 2025 will take place at the South Downtown Plaza on Main St.
