LEGO Club

Come to the library to build with LEGO! Expert Molly will provide a creative challenge, along with tips & tricks. Ages 5 & up.  

No registration required, but capacity is limited to the first 50 attendees. Library Community Room.  

Sojourner Marimba Band

Performing locally for nearly 20 years, the Sojourner Elementary School Marimba Band plays high-energy music originating from Zimbabwe. Library Community Room.

Storytime

Join us for all-ages storytime at the library! We’ll share songs, stories & action rhymes. 

No registration required, but capacity is limited to the first 50 attendees. Library Community Room. 

*No storytime on Tuesday, August 13.

Island Station Neighborhood Picnic

The Island Station NDA holds a neighborhood picnic each year with free food, live music, games, and much more! All are welcome to attend. 

Memorial Day: Library Closed

The Ledding Library (10660 SE 21st Ave.) is closed in observance of the holiday. 

Teen Game Night

Get your game on! We will open the new Teen Room Xbox X and PS5 consoles to teen gamers from 5:30 -7:30 pm. Teens can play games already downloaded to the consoles and any games available for checkout. Personal games are not allowed.

This event is limited to teens, grades 6 – 12, with a LINCC library card.

Teen Room Gaming

In July & August, teen gamers are welcome to try our Teen Room Xbox X or PS5 consoles on any day at any time! Stop by the Reference Desk to check out a controller. 

Games must be rated Teen or younger. Open to anyone going into grades 6-12.

Friends Sunday Book Sales

The Friends of the Ledding Library hold Sunday Book Sales every Sunday in the Library Community Room, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. These sales run through the end of October.

Come browse hundreds of books, CDs, DVDS, jigsaw puzzles and book themed merchandise.

Duck Race

North Clackamas Watersheds Council and the Milwaukie Parks Foundation sponsor an annual duck race over the Kellogg Creek dam where it meets the Willamette River each year. It costs $5 to "sponsor" a duck and if your duck comes in first place, you win $150. Second place receives $100. Third place receives $50. 

Porchfest

The Milwaukie Arts Committee is hosting another year of Porchfest! On Friday, July 12, 19, and 26, the community is invited to create music from their own homes, or walk/bike around Milwaukie neighborhoods to enjoy the sights and sounds! Singers, dancers, bagpipers, guitar players, etc. are all encouraged to fill Milwaukie with performance art!
