What Type of Permits Can I Apply For

Residential or Commercial?

If it’s a residential use with two or fewer units, it’s a residential application and must meet the Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC). If it’s a residential use with three or more units, it’s a commercial application and must meet the Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC).

Alarm or Suppression Systems - Used for fire Alarms, fire sprinklers or fire suppression systems

Demolition - Used to demolish the entire building

Electrical - Used for electrical permits

Mechanical - Used for mechanical permits, such as HVAC, ductwork, exhaust fans, gas lines, etc.

Plumbing - Used for plumbing permits

Sign - Used for sign permits

Site Development - Used for erosion control or grading permits

Structural - Used for building permits, structural modifications or partial demolition

One & Two-Family Dwelling (new only) - New house or duplex permits

Manufactured Dwelling - placing a manufactured dwelling

ROW/Access - Any work in the right-of-way (public property)
