Earthquake Preparedness

Earthquakes can happen at any time of the year and occur without warning. The Milwaukie area is prone to earthquakes and will be affected by the Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake when it occurs.

If you are caught in an earthquake, remember to drop to your knees, cover your head and neck with your arms, and, if possible, hold on to sturdy cover, like a table leg.

Milwaukie Environmental Stewards Group

Milwaukie Environmental Stewards Group (MESG) is a non-profit 501c3 that is committed to informing & educating Milwaukie residents & local leaders about how everyday people can lessen their negative impact on the environment.

MESG is always looking for community members who want to help them achieve their goals. Contact them here to see how you can help.
