CodeRed Emergency Notification System

City of Milwaukie Oregon Official Website

Milwaukie uses the CodeRED Emergency Notification System, an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency situations. This system allows the city to call specific areas, or everyone in Milwaukie, when immediate action is required. CodeRED can dial 50,000 phone numbers per hour, or about 1,000 numbers per minute. It then delivers a recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to the registered number.

To receive notifications, a phone number (including a cell phone and/or unlisted number) and address must be registered with Milwaukie's CodeRED system. Those who do not register this information may not be notified during an emergency.

Registration is confidential, free, and easy. CLICK HERE TO GET STARTED

Residents and businesses may also sign up by calling the Milwaukie Police Department at 503-786-7400.

For residential listings, please provide a full name, physical address (no PO boxes), primary phone number and an optional secondary phone number. For business listings, please provide the business name, physical address (no PO boxes), primary phone number and an optional secondary phone number.
